Natural-science and engineering concepts must be integrated with health & social sciences and architecture
The aim of the SBSP is to advance research that will develop buildings that are more sustainable from human, environmental and economic perspectives.
Taking into account research on evidence-based pedagogical improvement, this guiding principle leads to follow four main training objectives:
1. Enrol trainees and fellows from a broad base of disciplines, to create a rich, interdisciplinary training environment.
2. Consolidate and enhance conventional graduate education with a focus on building and sustainability.
3. Involve trainees in real-world design problems and expose them to professional practice for professional development.
4. Find research solutions to sustainable-building design problems, and develop new solution-oriented technologies.
