With a background in both architecture and engineering, Greg has integrated the two disciplines throughout his 30-year architectural practice, having been involved in early passive solar design and energy conservation initiatives, and more recently with larger issues of sustainability and high performance buildings.
Teaching has always been a strong interest, through the Architectural Institute of BC as well as a number of local educational institutions, including the UBC Civil Engineering Department and SALA. Throughout all his teaching Greg attempts to stress the importance of technology as an essential component of the architectural design process. This concern is more relevant than ever in today’s environment as the importance of sustainability at all levels is recognized.
Greg is a partner in the firm Principle Architecture, focussing primarily on institutional work throughout British Columbia, much of it with School Districts, non-profit organizations, and First Nation communities.
