Project Title: Influence of Indoor Living Walls on Indoor Air Quality

Supervisor: Karen Bartlett

Research interests: Indoor environmental quality, Occupant health

Living walls can be designed so that they’re appealing in a variety of settings, which is leading to their rising popularity. Similar to Karen Bartlett, Ivan sees many possible applications of living walls as nature is being incorporated into the urban environment and cities are becoming environmentally sustainable. Ivan also sees that there may be indoor air quality issues that may arise from the installation of living walls, which may make it difficult to use this attractive tool to reach sustainable goals.
